While in English ‘worldview’ often leans toward political or religious ideologies, the Japanese Sekai-kan is much more sensory and atmospheric. It is often used to describe the internal logic or ‘vibe’ of a fantasy world in literature, anime, or games. However, in personal contexts, it refers to how a person filters their life experiences.
